New “Off Beat” Interviews Scheduled

We have just secured some interviews with some amazing, accomplished drummers! These interviews will be added to our new "Off Beat" interview series. These interviews will not be streamed live, but will be available for free download. My main focus in these interviews will be to get  a background for each player, talk about their drumming experiences and to further stress the importance of being a well rounded musician. We are trying to promote learning and career longevity to younger "metal" drummers and hearing from accomplished musicians, is always inspiration.

We have scheduled an interview with Poogie Bell and Wally Gator Watson. You can hear Poogie on many of the world's finest jazz, neo-soul, R&B and hip-hop records. Performer, record producer, composer, and arranger, you've heard his work with artists including: Chaka Khan, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Roberta Flack, Erykah Badu, David Bowie, John Scofield, David Sanborn, Angelique Kidjo, Joe Sample, Al Jarreau, Vanessa Williams, Stanley Turrentine, Victor Wooten and Randy Crawford.

Wally Gator Watson is a powerhouse when it comes to playing the drums. This talent has lead his client list to include names such as Whitney Houston, Ashford & Simpson, and the wicked Wilson Pickett. His years as the driving force behind the Lionel Hampton Big Band, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, The Count Basie Band and The Cab Calloway Orchestra, have made him one of the front runners of Big Band drumming.
