Luis Martinez – Oblivion “Binary Souls” Drum Play-Through

Luis Martinez is 19 years old, studies jazz percussion and was the last drummer for the band Antagony. Luis uses Pearl Forum Series drums: 22″ bass drums, and 10″, 12″, 16″ toms with Evans coated heads. The snare has the Evans Onyx head and Superkick 2’s on both bass drums. Luis also uses Zildjian A-Custom & ZHT cymbals, Axis pedals, Sound Percussion sticks, Roland triggers, and an Alesis DM5 drum module.

Featuring founding members from bands such as Antagony, All Shall Perish, Hacksaw To The Throat, and Feast. “Called to Rise” was the #1 selling Metal release on Bandcamp for 8 weeks. Members of Oblivion all have their own unique story: bassist Ben Orum was the founder and primary songwriter in All Shall Perish, lead singer Dr. Nick Vasallo is a professor of Music and internationally acclaimed modernist composer, guitarist Victor Dods is completing his PhD in Math, guitarist Ted O’Neill is a 25 year veteran from the scene, and drummer Luis Martinez is a young musical phenom.
