Hey, my name is Robin and I’m 22. I started playing drums when I was 12 and learned to play to Beatles tapes and my dads’ jazz CDs. I practiced in an old caravan for 3 years and joined my first band when I was 15, playing psychedelic punk. My interest in metal started when I heard Suffocation on the radio one night and had no idea how the drummer could possibly play so fast and tight. I started researching ”extreme metal drumming” and found drummers like Derek Roddy, Flo Mounier, and Hellhammer.
I started getting serious when I was about 16- 17 when I got my first double pedal. Practice sessions became longer and everything else took a back seat in my life. I worked on technique and played along to any CD’s I could keep up with (Devolved, early Hate Eternal, Fear Factory etc). In 2005 Norse was formed with the best members from previous bands I had been in. Recorded a demo in 2006 and are currently recording a full-length album.
