Tomasz Pilasiewicz is back with Gorgasm! and this video premier for ‘Ravaged Corpse Decor’ makes us all very happy. The track comes from their forthcoming record with New Standard Elite, to drop early 2026. The band had some new merch, a new video release, some festival dates, and an unreal new sound with the return of Tomasz. We are excited to see what comes next!
Besides Gorgasm, he also drums for a death metal band Annihilation Principle which is currently recording an album. Wraith Vessel, a melodic old school tech death metal, which drops a single this week on Friday the 15th and two of his solo projects, Sky Machines and 21grams. Tom loves to create music with awesome musicians, has his own recording studio and is always open to session work.

Tomasz Pilasiewicz is an international session drummer born in Poland in 1976. At the age of 13 he has moved to US, where his musical journey has begun and where he lives with his family to this day. His early projects included a Megadeth inspired thrash metal band Cerebrum, a black metal band Poem Of Creation and melodic death metal band Ad Infinitum with whom he recorded his first demo/EP “Dies Irae.” Pilasiewicz gained prominence as the drummer for death‑metal legends Disinter, contributing to several demos, 5 full‑length albums, and many international performances. In the early 2000s, he co‑founded Corphagy, an experimental band, blending death metal, jazz, grindcore, rock, electronic and psychedelic influences. He recorded the full-length Pi and an EP while also singing and writing for the project. Shortly after that, Tom joined Morbid Angel vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker’s project UnderCurrent, bringing Pink Floyd and Tool‑inspired experimental soundscapes to the mix.
Later in life they have also worked together on Tucker’s death metal project Warfather and rock band Lowa. Around that time he also became a full time drummer for Gorgasm, performing extensively from 2004 to 2008 and recording the infamous 2006 demo. He rejoined them in 2024, currently working on new material and playing festivals worldwide.
After parting ways with Gorgasm in 2008 Pilasiewicz has recorded drums for multiple albums and singles for metal, rock, pop and electronic projects. Some of his achievements include winning the best rock song of the year at the Chicago Music Awards with Road’s End, a rock project that he was working on with Novy, ex-Behemoth/Vader. Also, Agony Climax, Bandwhore, Incessant Collapse, Kingdom Of Torment, Deadhand System, Holocaustum, Rabidus, Mord Frysa, Mastectomy, Immense Grief, Thrustor, Z.M. to name just a few more projects that he has recorded drums and played shows with.
