Stefan Wild started playing drums at the age of 8 and has been self-taught by listening to influential rock & metal drummers as well as watching the live performances. In Stefan’s late teens, he joined his first couple of bands and his musical career was born. Since joining Omophagia in 2011, Stefan has fully dedicated himself to the band by imprinting his creative influence in their recordings and live performances.
Stefan recorded on the two studio albums released by Unique Leader Records, “In the Name of Chaos” (2016) and “646965” (2019). Throughout the release cycles for both albums, Stefan has toured multiple times with Omophagia across Europe on prominent festivals and support slots for bands such as Nile & Hate Eternal (2019) Immolation & Full of Hell (2018), Benighted & Wormed (2017), Morgoth & Incantation (2016).
Throughout his musical career, Stefan has consistently strived to push his creative boundaries and technical prowess behind the kit. His abilities combined with the exceptional songwriting and technical talent from the other band members come together to form an intense sonic blast of brutal tech-death.
This video shows some takes from the drum recording of the song “Nothing Social” from the new Omophagia album “646965” – released via Unique Leader Records. This song shows typical elements of the music of Omophagia. The song is at 280bpm, shows fast blast beats and double bass parts but also a variety of different grooves and rhythmic elements. The album was recorded in the Kohlekeller Studios in Germany. (Aborted, Benighted, Disavowed, Cytotoxin). Omophagia decided to record their new album in this particular studio because of the hard, powerful, brutal but still modern sound of their high-quality productions.

Brutal tech death outfit Omophagia is an intense metamorphism meshing technical and brutal elements into a violent blend of modern death metal. Founded in 2007, the band reigns from Switzerland and is comprised of an elite group of Swiss and Brazilian musicians. Omophagia’s technical prowess and unique delivery mesh pummeling blast beats and meticulously crafted riffs with a pummeling flow of brutal death grooves.
In 2019 Omophagia released its sophomore Unique Leader Records release “646965” receiving praise from all over the world. Omophagia toured throughout Europe on the ‘A Vile Desolate Sands Tour’ supporting Nile and Hate Eternal in conjunction with the release of “646965.” Earlier in the year, the band partnered with artist manager Mark Muller, further expanding the team and worldwide support. Omophagia has a great experience on stage and in the studio since their inception in 2007, which has fueled their rapid rise in the death metal ranks.
Omophagia has performed at festivals such as Metal Days, Mountains Of Death, Meh Stuff!, Headbangers Ball Summer Fest, Coyote Brutal Fest and more. In 2016 the group toured Europe supporting Morgoth and Incantation for two weeks. In 2017 they went out as support for Benighted and Wormed on the Necrobreed Alliance Tour. Omophagia’s live show and technical performance continued to break necks and get the attention of new fans everywhere, poising the band for their slot supporting Immolation and Full Of Hell across Europe in 2018. The band’s 2019 album support tour was massive and a testament to their hard work, talent, and persistence.
Omophagia is working diligently to expand its global reach in 2020 and looking forward to performing for their fans and metalheads alike. Support for “646965” will forge forward while Omophagia eagerly delivers their dose of live aural-pummeling death metal.
