Invidiosus’ Full-Length Featuring Duane Timlin Set For Early 2014 Release

Invidiosus, a technical death metal group hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has announced Duane Timlin as the session drummer for their debut full-length album, set for release in early 2014. Duane is well known for his drumming on Dying Fetus’ 2007 record, ‘War of Attrition’, and has performed with bands such as Consumed, Divine Empire, Hank Williams III, Anal Blast, and Forest of Impaled. Alongside Invidiosus, he is currently recording and touring with Insatanity and Sacrificial Slaughter.

Matthias Joyce of Invidiosus describes recording with Duane Timlin: "Duane traveled from Milwaukee, WI to Minneapolis, MN in late July of 2013 to begin tracking drums for Invidiosus. He had a total of 4 days to learn and record the entire album, and from the moment I picked him up at the bus station, he was studying our material and rehearsing it. We alternated two days of rehearsal and practice with two days of studio tracking, and Duane spent a ridiculous amount of time behind a drum kit in those 4 days. He literally drummed for ten hours straight in the recording studio on the last day of tracking, ensuring that each track was done properly and there would be little need for any post-production editing. Each song was done in his own style, with ridiculously fast blasts and complex drum parts mixed in with grooves and dynamic changes. Recording with Duane was one hell of an experience, and we at Invidiosus are incredibly excited to release our first album with such a prolific and talented drummer."

Invidiosus has spent the last few years honing their craft and establishing themselves in the extreme music scene, touring the Midwest and Southwest in 2011 alongside Face of Oblivion (Comatose Music) and performing with bands such as Suffocation, Noisear, Splattered, Kataplexy, Brutal Truth, Insidious Decrepancy, and Abnormality.

Guitarists and songwriters Kevin Alter (In Defence, Deretla) and Nicholas Kulczycki (Anal Blast, Demonicon, ex-Teratism) have composed an album of wildly dynamic material, incorporating elements of black metal, technical metal, and grindcore into their blend of psychotic death metal. The album is set for release in early 2014, and the band will be performing live and on tour to promote the albums release.
