Drummer, Danny Walker, playing Ben Woods’ Decimate Survivors (Minor Alegrias). This studio performance is dedicated to drum legend and friend Sean Reinert. Ben Woods and I were informed of his passing the day before entering the studio to do this project. We both have history and fond memories with Sean. Years ago Sean performed on two of Ben’s albums… “Vision” and “Flametal.” Sean and I did a drum clinic camp that Sick Drummer Magazine organized. I also toured along side Cynic and was a drum tech for him on the first Death To All Tour. I’m truly thankful for all the inspiration, good times and epic moments together. Rest in power brother!
Decimate Survivors (Minor Alegrias) is from the (unreleased) Ben Woods album ‘Robots From Outer Spain.’

Danny Walker – Drums
Drums recorded by John Haddad at Trench Studios
Mastered by Bob Kowalski
The album is an experiment of Flamenco Guitar playing (but a nylon string stratocaster) and Metal Drums instead of the typical Flamenco percussion of palmas, cajon and zapateado. Some songs are rooted in the traditional Flamenco song forms, others not so much.
