Dan DeLucia – Carnivora – Bogdweller – Exclusive Live Drum Video

My name is Dan DeLucia of Carnivora and I started playing drums at age 9, picking up the sticks for the first time after watching my older sister play for our school’s band. My mother gave me a PDP drum set when I was 11, which I still use to this day. Originally influenced by bands like Linkin Park, Yellowcard, Good Charlotte, and some of my father’s favorite classic rock, I started listening to heavier bands in middle school, being introduced to Slipknot, Lamb of God, and Shadows Fall through exploring the internet for drum videos. I was involved with school band programs through high school, picking up more advanced techniques and rudiments in a marching band. As a founding member of Carnivora, I have been writing and recording since high school and started touring straight out of college in 2015. I’m now proudly endorsing Arborea Cymbals and Gator Cases.

From Salem, Massachusetts, drummer Dan DeLucia and Carnivora cast a sonic hex… shaped by big riffs and captivating melodies. The Witch City road dogs continue to carve their niche as they fuse influences from groove metal and sludge with a pinch of metallic hardcore flavor inherited from New England’s scene ancestors.

The 2019 release of “Bogdweller” marks a rebirth for Carnivora and the debut of their revamped lineup. Pairing some of the heaviest moments ever delivered by the group with an ambitious vocal section, the single represents their first venture into clean singing. Produced by Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall, Act of Defiance) and mixed by Grammy-nominated board wizard Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Revocation), the band has conjured an unprecedented level of energy and songwriting prowess with their yet-to-be-released album.
