Bryce Butler is a drummer from Dallas, Texas. He is best known in the extreme music community for his work with Seeker, The Faceless, Abigail Williams, Contrarian, Circuit Of Suns, and now Shadow Of Intent. Butler always stays busy with session work and fill-in gigs. He has filled in on live drums for bands like Lorna Shore, Galactic Empire, Vale Of Pnath, and many more. He has also done album session work for the band Lord Mantis, and over 15 others. Bryce is currently a member of 14 bands and records and engineers from his home studio in Rowlett, Texas.
This is one-take with no quantizing or editing of any kind. There is no sample replacement. The only sample used was the kick trigger. All audio engineered by Bryce Butler.

Band Bio:
NY based Contrarian has been described as the “new school of old school progressive death metal”. Creating death metal that is authentically original with a natural memory and understanding of the old. Rooted in early 90’s progressive death metal, but with an unrelenting forward-thinking approach.
Spearheaded by guitar player Jim Tasikas, Contrarian is a group of like-minded musicians that coincidentally converged on a vision of what a modern death metal band should sound like. Organic sounding, yet aggressive and melodically complex, Contrarian is packed with snake-like riffage and atmospheric variations that will provide a wholly enticing listen to all those willing to take in its eccentricity.
