For all you fans of BT, we will be conducting an exclusive "Off Beat" interview with Erik Burke in the next week or so. Erik plays guitar in BT, Nuclear Assault, Sulaco and also plays drums in Kalibas, who are playing MDF this year. He also played in Lethargy, a Rochester based band that featured Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher of Mastodon. Brutal Truth and Origin have been confirmed as headliners at this year’s Central Illinois Metalfest being held the weekend of July 18, 19, and 20 in Urbana, IL.
Brutal Truth will headline the festival on Saturday, July 19, with co-headliners Incantation. Origin will co-headline on Sunday, July 20, with headliners Suffocation. Also on the bill for year’s C.I.M. is Monstrosity, God Dethroned, Pyrexia, Severed Savior, IMPALED, Mortal Decay, and more. Brutal Truth are currently writing for a new full-length album and have recently announced their plans for a two week European tour in February. This tour will include stops in the U.K., Netherlands, France, Spain and more. A listing of confirmed Brutal Truth tour dates can be found below with more to be announced soon.
Origin are currently in the studio, recording their follow-up album to 2005’s Echoes of Decimation. This brand new full-length album is expected to see an April 2008 release date.
