Studio Tips:

I did the cymbals separate from the drums.  Took a bit of getting used to,. We set up pads so it seemed like I had cymbals. Takes a little bit longer to do the actual recording, because you spend a whole extra day doing cymbals, but the sounds you can get out of the drums is amazing. You dont have to compress them as much and you dont need many samples, if you spend the time getting really good sounds.

Drummer Comments:

You gotta have fun in the studio, relax and come well prepared.  Working on the same song for a few hours can be really frustrating and discouraging.
