Drummer extraordinaire, Gavin Harrison has played with a number of the world’s greatest artists and bands, including Incognito, Level 42, and punk icon Iggy Pop. Best known for his work with the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, which he joined in 2002, Gavin also occupies the drum seat with the legendary band King Crimson.
A talented author, Gavin has released two instructional drum books entitled Rhythmic Illusions and Rhythmic Perspectives and produced his own instructional DVDs, Rhythmic Visions and Rhythmic Horizons. In 2012, Rhythmic Designs was released, a book of transcriptions by Terry Branam and a three-hour DVD containing explanations and demonstrations by Gavin. Rhythmic Designs won 'Best in Show' at the 2012 Summer NAMM show.
According to Sarah Hagan, Zildjian‘s Artist Relations Manager, “We are extremely proud to have Gavin represent Zildjian on his first US Clinic tour. He continues to be one of the worlds’s most sought after clinicians. Having conducted clinics extensively across Europe, it will be great to finally bring him to the US.
