Once in a while we are lucky enough to be at the right place, at the right time. This was a shining example of that fortune. This was not planned in advance, and these guys (as far as we know) have never played together before, it just happened this way. This video features Thomas Pridgen (Mars Volta, The Memorials, Suicidal Tendencies) on drums, who may very well be the most insane drummer we’ve ever witnessed. Thomas won a Guitar Center Drum Off at age 9, and was the recipient of a 4 year scholarship to Berklee College of Music in 1999 at the age of 15 – the youngest musician to ever receive this scholarship.
John Popper is the frontman and harmonica monster of the New Jersey band Blues Traveler. Next we have Ben Weinman, best known for his work as (founding member) lead guitarist for mathcore band, The Dillinger Escape Plan – again, out of New Jersey. Pete Griffin is a Grammy Award-winning bassist best known for his time with Zappa Plays Zappa, has also shared the stage with: Dethklok, Steve Vai, Terry Bozzio, Chick Corea, Mike Portnoy, Stanley Clarke, Edgar Winter, Danny Carey (Tool), and many, many others. Alexander David Potts is a guitarist from Long Beach who plays with Thomas in the band, The Memorials, among many others.
