Keep up with Cameron here:
It all started in the 8th grade when i tried out for the jazz band in middle school to play drumset, i only tried out because my brother and my friend Ian were going to. i didnt know how to play drumset at all and i really didnt care to learn but i managed to get in the jazz band anyways. Later that same year, i woke up on Christmas morning to find a really nice Pearl Export drumset in my living room. i was pretty shocked to see a drumset as one of my presents because i hadnt asked for one nor cared to have one but i grew to like it and tried to play it often. When i was 10th grade i got my first double bass pedal and when i was in 11th grade i joined my first band “Grey Haven” and started to love the drumset more and more. i had never even heard of the kind music that the guys in the band were wanting to play so i just played the most complicated thing i could that i thought sounded good with the music, looking back on it it didnt fit so well but i nailed the complicated part. We later changed the name of the band to “EVEN IDOLS DIE” and we also changed the kind of music we played to METAL. Then later we sort of broke up but we got back together and now we are better than ever and i am better at the drums than i ever have been because of being in a band.
