My band Among The Decayed has been around since 2005…I have been playing with Derek and Aaron for about 6yrs..We started a band back in 2000, but things fell apart in 2002..It wasn’t till 2005 I came back to the fold and with a new vocalist things took off from there….We are from Portland OR and our scene here is very tough…There are alot of great bands here and you have to push yourself here or you’ll be overlooked…We are still a new band and hopefully throughout the next few years we will have left our mark!

Travis: I did play in a jazz/rock school band in Jr High and High School
SD.com: Ever take any lessons?
Travis: I had one lesson from a guy when I was 8, and that was only for a few minutes…He taught me the basic rock beat and a couple various beats…Then in high school I would go and jam with this older guy that worked in a local music store, he basically showed me how to learn songs by listening to them…No “real” formal lessons..Although now I wish I had!
