I was born near from Lille in the north of France in 1983. I have a passion for music since I discovered bands as The Police, U2 or Dire Straits when I was a kid. I have not started to play music with the drums but with guitar when I was 14 years old. I was fascinated by bands as AC/DC, Iron Maiden or Metallica at that time. But the guitar didn’t attract me longer, and I decided to play drums at the age of 15. I was impressed by Lars Ulrich and his big kit, and he is the first guy who gave me that passion to play drums. So, I convinced my parents to offer me a drumkit for Christmas, it has been a hard task because I lived in an apartment. Then I began to play covers with my brother who played guitar. I founded my first band called Witness at the age of 18 with guys I met at gigs of local bands. We used to play Six Feet Under and old Sepultura covers. We composed a few songs and released a demo named “Vision of Desolation” in 2003. Then we made some gigs in north of France.
In October 2004 I discovered Spiritual Dissection, when they released the first album ‘The Dark Side Of Mankind’. It was a band more brutal death/grind oriented than Witness, and at the time I started to listen more brutal bands. The album had been recorded with a drum machine, and they were looking for drummer to play live. So I decided to work hard and learn one song from the album. It was a real challenge for me, and one day I told Deke (bass/vocals in Spiritual Dissection) to come and see me playing. He had been convinced, I left Witness and we have rehearsed for the first time in March 2005. So, we made a few gigs and it always has been a success.

SD.com: Ever take any lessons?
Tibo: Just 2 lessons (if you don’t count the lessons at school) to learn rudiments and basics. No more sadly. I have always practiced by myself, now with the metronome. Tibo: I love my Axis pedals, I have gathered a lot of speed thanks to them. I used to play with 2 different pedals before. I love my snare as well.
SD.com: Do you have any pre-show rituals?
Tibo: Yes, firstly try to stay in a good mood, it’s very important for me iin order to be concentrate when playing and to be focus on the show. Then, I make stretching and physical exercises. I practice on the pad a few minutes before, on the kit when I can. Finally, before every shows, I make a briefing with my band.

SD.com: If you had to stop drumming, what else would you want to do with your life?
Tibo: Well I wish I will never have to stop. Only a serious injury or an accident could make me stop playing. When I was a kid I wanted to be an astronomer, I will more involve myself in what is relative to astronomy and cosmology.or playing another instrument.
