James Sharp was born into a large musical family, 3 of which were drummers. A strong work ethic at an early age has continued to blossom benefits in the form of his the band, The Burning Issue.
I bought my drumset at 16 after working two of the longest years! I also got a second job at a local music store and in return received a wholesale discount on the set, it was perfect! I played with my best friends, trying rapcore and hardcore and getting in and out of bands.
The Burning Issue have been playing for about 3 years now and is a unique blend of metal, giving me a niche for blasting creativity and “extreme” athletecism. I have looked up to Thomas Lang, Tim Yeung, KC Howard, Hannes Grossman, Johnny Rabb, Derek Roddy, James King, and Dave Culross, just to name a few for inspiration. I hope I can give half as much to everyone out there as these have given me.
If you would be interested in playing with me, jamming while in the area, or just over the net, hit me up. I’m down to do almost any project with anybody out there! You can contact me from my MySpace page – http://www.myspace.com/jamessharp
God Blast The U.S.A.!”
While hardcore seems to be dominating the market, The Burning Issue is looking ahead and pushing the elements, in preparation of what’s to come in heavy music. They are right on the mark, making good music and not sounding like everyone else. Be sure to check them out.”

Me and my bassists were dialing in the rythm sec, right on the money. I was right in the pocket, and the crowd, you could tell, was feeling it so much! They were doing that cheesy machine gun shit with their hands while i was sprinting on the double kick like Jackie Joyner Kersey. I couldn’t quit.
