Ksaos on stage, Jonathan Drouin, was born in Quebec in 1987. Already, as a chlid, he was imaginative and attracted by art. Really passionate about music , Ksaos started investing himself in local bands at an early age.
In 2004, he finally joined the rank of the metal core band FAILURE TO COMPLY where he met Khtien (ERIMHA guitar player). He then started investing a lot of time in the creation of his own music, practicing hours upon hours everyday. Soon after while working in a music shop as a day job, he got contacted by a government organism to take part of a musical project named CLUSTERISE where he met Gore (ERIMHA singer). In 2007 Ksaos joined the epic metal band MYTHOFYRE, where in a three month period he wrote and recorded the drums for their first Ep « Four Runes Have Awaken » and quickly gain attention from the Montreal metal scene.
In late 2009, Ksaos and Khtien started a project and decided to create ERIMHA. Based on Sumerian mythology, occultism, convictions and inner strength. Releasing their first full length in 2010, recorded by Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY/MYTHOSIS) in Montreal , the band was constantly performing shows all around Quebec and Ontario. In fall of 2012, Ksaos entered the GARAGE STUDIO with ERIMHA, where they recorded their second full length ‘’Reign through imortallity’’. Ksaos time and devotion could be heard instantly, as the tempo’s and ideas behind his instrument had evolved.
Ksaos is mostly self-educated in disciplines like music, literature and spiritualism. He always been someone who works really hard on his project. With such passion and hard work, great things are to be seen in this drummer’s future.
‘’Your playing is the reflection of yourself’’. -Ksaos

SDM: How old were you when you started playing?
Ksaos: I stared playing drums when I was 15 years old with some old punk and hard rock band. Two years after, I fell into metal drumming and realise that was my calling.
SDM: Did you play in a school band or any drum corps?
Ksaos: At the beginning I was playing alone for a good 4 years and then I met Kthien from Erimha. From then he and I started pushing our projects more seriously.
SDM: Who are your top 5 metal influences?
Ksaos: I would say Nick Barker, Adrian Erlandsson, Hellhammer, Flo Mounier, Daniel Erlandsson

SDM: What do you do to warm up before a show?
Ksaos: I usually start off by stretching, and then I look for a place that I can be alone. Grab my practice pads for a good 30-45 minutes of basic rudiments and basic beats.
SDM: Do you read music? Regardless of answering yes or no, please tell us how it might have effected your playing?
Ksaos: Reading music isn’t my strength, I have never taken drum lessons in my life. I have always played by instinct or whatever information I could find on my own. Because when it comes down to writing and playing, I’d rather follow my emotions then a piece of paper.
