I started drumming totally by fluke. I actually was trying to pick up guitar. Once in a while id bring my guitar to school and jam with my main man Gino. At some point my buddy Kosta wanted to take part in this jam extravaganza so he brought his drumkit to school. This became an actual lunch time gathering for a good amount of people. From there u can guess that i dropped the axe and went for the drums.
I was playing on a single rusted pedal that was being held together by shoe strings. Cracked cymbals and dead sounding toms were all this kit had to offer. Once i was out of high school i asked my parents to get me a kit but they told me it was just a fase (lousy parents). within the year my dad quickly realized that this wasnt a fase but a passion that i wanted to excel at. He got me a 2nd hand red Tama Swingstar with skins that haden’t been changed since the 80s. I loved it. I eventually invested in an Ironcobra double pedal and was off to double bass land. I started an old school death metal suffocation type band with 2 awesome dudes , mike and daniel. throught these guys i learned alot of new ideas. they got me into all types of intense music such as Morbid angel, meshuggah and suffocation.
From then on , i became seriously obsessed with fast foot work. Pete sandoval was sur-human in his time. Sadly , my guitarist and friend Daniel passed away due to a work related accident and that was the end of the band. This loss only made me strive to become even stronger behind my kit. I was practicing 6-8 hours a day everyday! I then joined forces with Camilla rhodes , an already established Montreal Metalcore band. Ive been with them ever since and even though the band has seen alot of line up changes, ive kept my faith in this project.
Im also involved in another bad assery know as Plasmarifle. My goal as a musician for one is too make good music and to also raise the technical bar just a liiiiiittle bit more. And as a drummer, I intend on crushing all WFD speed records for singles with feet as soon as I can. *514 DEATHCORE*

SD.com: Did you play in a school band or any drum corps?
Jade: nope
SD.com: Ever take any lessons?
Jade: never…someone taught me the parradiddle once and that was it.

SD.com: Can you remember a night you think was your best playing ever? If yes, when and where?
Jade: Was a gig opening for Ion Dissonance in Sherbrooke. i was actually not even using my own kit. But the bassdrum sound was so big. I just really got into it and was murdering the kit.
SD.com: Do you have a favorite brand of drums or cymbals?
Jade: Sonor drums, sabian cymbals, remo skins..and as for sticks…im one of those drummers who can never make up my mind about sticks. so everything on the market.
SD.com: Do you have any pre-show rituals?
Jade: warm up for 10000 hours and avoid all energy drinks, that stuff gets ur nerves going and u dont play as tight. Adrenaline is all anyone needs.
SD.com: If you could give one piece of advice to young drummers, it would be…
Jade: Patience! U gotta keep a positive attitude no matter how bad ur day is going. Some days i can play 270-280 and somedays i struggle at 240… thats just how the human body works. if ur trying to get something down and its just not happening, just put it on the back burner and work on something else. Everything falls into place eventually. But practice is the only way to reach goals.
SD.com: Who gave the best live performance you’ve ever seen?
Jade: Best show ive ever been to is AC/DC.what a bunch of old school bad asses.
SD.com: If you had to stop drumming, what would you want to do with your life?
Jade: Ride a motorcycle off the grand canyon.No seriously, thats like saying “hey chuck norris….stop doing roundhouse kicks.”
