Keep up with Doug here:
Douglas Bohn, born October 27 1969. Coming from a musical family, I started with the alto saxophone through 4th and 5th grade. Went to guitar after that in 6-7th grade. The strings were too close together for me so I tried bass. Loved the bass, and still do. I do dabble with an acoustic guitar, bass, and my keyboard here and there. I started playing drums at 15 years old, and have not stopped since. I took lessons for about a month and hated it, so I took it upon myself to teach myself from there on out. I spent a lot of time at home for sure.
As a kid I grew up listening to Jazz and 50's music, rock, and r&b. When I got older I was introduced to Led Zeppelin, Yes, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest. Then came Ozzy (Randy Rhodes) and Iron Maiden. The first real concert I saw was Iron Maiden Powerslave tour. I was mesmerized! After that, Slayer stole my sole lol! I wanted to play fast. My first band Social Disease 1985-92, was a speed metal/hardcore/grind kinda thing. Through it all, I've always played different styles of music when i played by myself. Again, a lot of time was spent at home behind my kit. Bands I've been in: Social Disease, Welt, Suffocation, Iron Lung, Bile, Lockdown, Criminal Element, PunchYourFace, and currently in Tenpoint.
