… Sean Reinert is one of the most well known and respected players in metal / prog-fusion drumming history. Sean has recorded with such bands as: Death, Cynic, Gordian Knot, Sean Maolne and Aghora. Sean currently plays in California based Aeon Spoke and is gearing up for a Cynic reunion tour in Europe! If you don't know his drumming, you need to hear it. We at Sick Drummer.com feel Sean is personally responsible for thousands of young drummers, changing the way they play and approach the drums. He was able to take the Death Metal style and incorporate an incredible progressive jazz-fusion to it. Just listen to some of the time signatures and transitions on Focus! Especially on the instrumental song, "textures". Sean also plays piano, legit percussion, guitar, lap steel, pedal steel and bass. We would like to thank Sean for being such an inspiration and for contributing these signed articles for others to enjoy. This is the first of several giveaways made possible by Sean!
