This video play-through is drummer Matt DeGroot of Beneath The Hollow playing “Carrion,” and features Robert Meadows (A LIFE ONCE LOST, MINDPOWER, LEFT TO VANISH). Robert lends his vocal expertise to Chicago’s Beneath the Hollow for a seething new single titled “Carrion.” Matt DeGroot was first featured on our website way back in 2008!
The band lays down a ferocious groove reminiscent of Pantera/Sepultura while Robert and BTH Frontman Jewell Yocum hone in on a symbiotic fusion of their contrasting vocal styles.
“Carrion” was originally intended to be included with the band’s 2020 EP “Indoctrination,” however Mother Nature had other plans. During the drum sessions for “Indoctrination,” the studio flooded, forcing the band to move forward without the track.
