Death metal veterans Duane Timlin (ex: Dying Fetus, Divine Empire) Joe Payne (ex: Nile, Divine Heresy) James King (ex: Origin, Unmerciful) Derek Engemann (Unmerciful) and John Ramos (A.T.W.T.T.B, ex: Funeral Rites) are teaming up to form Vile Penance. Vile Penance the brainchild of Ramos and Timlin who paired up while playing with Houstons' Funeral Rites.
They began writing material which they later decided to use on a new project. With that idea, Vile Penance has been evolving over the last year while searching for other musicians. Joe will take over vocal duties, James will be stepping out from behind the kit and onto guitars and with Derek on bass, John Ramos and Duane Timlin quickly locked in the line up.
Now with the material and musicians in place Vile Penance will begin recording demo material at Timlin's "Reduced to Rubble studio" to be ready by late spring early summer, followed by select live dates in between respective bands schedules, and a full length slated for later this year. For all up to date info check out the band www.myspace.com/vilepenance . There will be video updates posted during the recording.
