Sick Drummer Magazine presents an exclusive video of Sick Drummer Camp guest instructor Dirk Verbeuren, tracking drums at Fastback Studios in Seattle for Jeff Loomis’ (ex-Nevermore) second solo album.
Verbeuren, who recorded eleven songs over four days, said about the project: “It was a great experience tracking drums to Jeff’s awesome songs. I didn’t receive all of the material beforehand, so the spontaneity was energizing. I'm in love with the Tama Superstar kit we got in for the occasion, it sounded truly amazing. Musically speaking, I think Jeff stepped it up big time on this record. Lots of inspired, diverse music and mindblowing fretwork to look forward to!” The album is produced by Aaron Smith (7 Horns 7 Eyes) and set for release in the Spring of 2012.

Additionally, having just returned from rehearsals with Devin Townsend, Verbeuren is currently putting the finishing touches to the debut EP of his personal project BENT SEA. Featuring vocals by Sven De Caluwe (Aborted) and a soon-to-be-announced guest bass player. Bent Sea is old school grindcore in the vein of Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Repulsion, Brutal Truth and Rotten Sound.
Additionally Verbeuren has created Library of the Extreme Volume III, in his personal Die Crawling Studio, which is due out this fall. Volume III is the follow-up to Verbeuren's acclaimed MIDI libraries The Metal Foundry and Library of the Extreme Vol. I & II released through Toontrack.
