MORBID ANGEL
Armed with a new live guitarist Destructhor, Morbid Angel have set “Illud Divinum Insanus” as the title of their eagerly awaited forthcoming album and a major touring cycle to follow.
The album features Tim Yeung as the drummer, who stepped in to the fold to record and tour while the longtime drummer Pete "Commando" Sandoval recovers from back surgery.
The album has been scheduled for a June 6th, 2011 release in Europe and a June 7th , 2011 release in North America. This will be Morbid Angel’s eighth studio album, and the first since legendary frontman David Vincent rejoined the fold. The album will appear on Season of Mist and JVC in Japan. The single for the song “Nevermore” was released on May 16th as a 7” collectors edition vinyl and digital download.
SEPTICFLESH
Formed in March 1990, SEPTICFLESH released their first Mini Lp "Temple of the Lost Race" in December 1991. Its tracks have been reprinted in June 2002 as a bonus on a digipack re-edition of their first album "Mystic Places of Dawn". A 3 songs promotape including two titles of this Mini Lp and the title “Morpheus (The Dreamlord)” enabled them to sign a contract with Holy records.
They recorded their first album "Mystic Places of Dawn" in April 1994 at the Storm studio with Magus Wampyr Daoloth as Co-producer. The song “Return to Carthage” then appeared on the Nuclear Blast compilation "Death Is Only The Beginning III". One year later, in June 1995, they released "Esoptron" which was to be followed by "Ophidian Wheel" in May 1997. To record it, they chose the Praxis studio and Lambros Sfyris as Co-producer."A Fallen Temple" which was released in March 1998, was also recorded there, with L.Sfyris.
The recruiting of Natalie Rassoulis and the neo-classical influences gave the band's new songs a more theatrical and technical dimension. SEPTICFLESH then shot its first video for "The Eldest Cosmonaut" which was released in September 1998 in a special packaging including a video tape and a Cd composed of 4 new tracks .
The successful "Temple of Humiliations" tour (with Natron and Misanthrope) brought to the band a true popularity. In June 1999 they invested the Fredman studios where they began to record "Revolution DNA" with Fredrik Nordstrom as producer. The album was launched in October 1999 and presented an innovative musical style. Trying to boost its career the band worked with "Harvest management" in order to find a new record company.
SEPTICFLESH signs on Hammerheart records at at the end of 2001 and turns over in summer 2002 to the Fredman studios to record Sumerian Daemons which will leave at the end of this same year. This album joins again with the past and is a sumptuous mixture of all the facets of SEPTICFLESH.
In April of 2007 Chris , Spiros , Sotiris and Fotis began to work on their 6th,still untitled album for the "Seasons Of Mist" record company .
The legend says that a mythical creature named phoenix could reborn from its ashes. It is also said that those who carry the spirit of "burning phoenix" are unstoppable, even by the flames of an "infernal sun", as they possess the "ophidian will" to carry on, beyond all obstacles. But enough with cryptic talks and hints… Let it be known that legendary SEPTICFLESH have returned! Greek daemons Seth, Chris Antoniou, Sotiris V. and Fotis Benardo are back as they decided that besides their experimentation with different projects and musical paths, the path of the Flesh was not completely explored. And they have more nightmares to share…
SEPTICFLESH recorded The Great Mass, their sixth full length album for "Season of Mist". The album was to contain all the elements that made the sound of SEPTICFLESH so unique: pale, strange guitar melodies, brutal and sharp riffing, the devil behind the mic, and of course the neoclassical arrangements that are Chris Antoniou's trademark.
To get that result, Chris the "gothic maestro" tortured a full orchestra and a choir respectively composed of 80 musicians and 32 singers! The rest of the album was recorded and mixed in what has become the temple of their past two musical rituals. Yes, once again they chose to invade the famous Fredman studios, with Fredrik Nordstrom.

EXHUMED
Formed in 1991, when sole remaining founding member Matt Harvey was at the tender age of 15, Exhumed spent much of the ensuing decade hacking its way through numerous line-ups, demos, split CDs, and EPs. The band finally recorded their debut album, the genre- (re) defining and critic-repulsing "Gore Metal" in 1998. The album crystallized the "old-school Death Metal meets full-on Grindcore with the spirit of Thrash" sound forged during the recordings of their last demo and first split CD ("Horrific Expulsion of Gore" and "In the Name of Gore"
respectively).
This led to the band's first US tour and American festival appearances (their only previous out of California shows had been 9 dates in central Europe in 1997 supporting "In the Name of Gore"). The band continued to morph line-ups with the release of the back-to-basics sophomore record "Slaughtercult" in 2001. The album blatantly blended the band's brutal cult-thrash influences into its sonic meat-grinder.
This album allowed the band to do three US tours, and their first proper European tour, including co-headlining festivals like Fuck the Commerce and Obscene Extreme. The band also appeared at the Wacken Open Air festival and made its first trek to Japan.
The band evolved further with their third album, 2003's "Anatomy is Destiny" which added more sophisticated arrangements, production and instrumentation into the Gore Metal formula. After the departure of the band's co-founder, drummer Col Jones, the band issued a massive 2CD compilation of their early recordings, appropriately dubbed "Platters of Splatter". After touring all over America, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and even Iceland, the band realigned its personnel yet again, with the addition of drummer Matt Connell, guitarist Wes Caley and the rejoining of bassist/vocalist Leon DelMuerte. The "new and improved" Exhumed has released the band's latest offering, "Garbage Daze Re-Regurgitated", an album of cover songs that reaffirms their underground roots and shows a few new and different sides of the band.
The band members are currently at work creating a DVD planned for release in spring 2006 that will showcase the new line-up, as well as include a myriad of footage from throughout the band's various incarnations.
BOOK OF BLACK EARTH
Forming from the rain-soaked Seattle soil in late 2003, BOOK OF BLACK EARTH boasts a sound as dreary and evil as the blackened skies that set upon many a cool, damp day in the band’s hometown. With The Cold Testament, BOOK OF BLACK EARTH now builds upon the band’s eight-year history of sound – one that has yielded praise from the likes of Decibel, Terrorizer and The Seattle Post-Intelligencer – and ultimately spews forth an all-encompassing album deep in thought, dark in mind and undeniably heavy in both sound and story.
The follow-up to 2008’s acclaimed Horoskopus, The Cold Testament showcases a blacker, bigger sound harnessed by producer/engineer Chris Common (Pelican, The Sword) at The Red Room Studios in Seattle and mixed by the legendary Dan Swano (Opeth, Katatonia, Bloodbath). With the band’s blasphemous take on blackened death metal committed to tape, and having already cut their collective teeth on the road with the likes of Watain, Amebix and Cattle Decapitation, as well as appearances at SXSW and the New England Metalfest, the impending release of The Cold Testament will surely bring the band out of the stormy shrouds of the Seattle underground and back to the road.
With The Cold Testament, BOOK OF BLACK EARTH looks toward a promising, bright – albeit musically blackened – future in the metal underground.
INEVITABLE END
Inevitable End is a metal act founded 2003 in Jönkoping, Sweden. Starting out highly influenced by the thrash genre they have gone through some good, developing processes to end up were they are today. Stably grounded in death metal they strive to give the sound of the genre a new face by mixing elements from several kinds of hard music. They most certainly are a live band delivering an intense, non-typical performance!
During the period of their EP's the band collected several promising reviews and made alot of noise in the underground scene. What's already past in the band's history includes visits to Norway, Finland, Czech Republic and Switzerland, additional to all the gigs played in their home-country Sweden.
After facing some line-up changes and a need to find more stimulation working together, the band moved their camp from Jönköping to Gothenburg. With a more brutal sound in mind the most part of 2007 was spent in the rehearsal room creating what would be the “new” Inevitable End. This is already starting to pay off for the band: In 2008 INEVITABLE END signed a deal with Relapse Records for the release of their up-coming debut album.
INTENSUS
Intensus is an exciting and unique recording project masterminded by multi-instrumentalist Eli Litwin, drummer of Knife the Glitter, Burden, Normal Love and others. A resident of Philadelphia for many years, Eli has had the opportunity to involve himself in the metal and underground rock scenes as well as the avant-garde/improvised music scene. The purpose of this project was to take these very different worlds and combine them into a freely improvised extreme metal album with one goal in mind: intensity. The process began with one recording session in which Eli improvised drum tracks for the entire album, start to finish, in one take. Over the course of the next year, he simultaneously wrote and recorded guitar tracks to build songs out of the improvised drum parts. Some guitar sections were first take improvisations as well, while others were written and recorded within 5-25 minutes. The general idea was to keep everything as spontaneous as possible. After all guitars were recorded, Eli learned everything on bass and went through the same process. Once all music was completed, Eli enlisted a number of singers to contribute vocals to the project.
The first, self-titled INTENSUS album features vocals from Tommy Rogers (Between the Buried and Me), Robert Meadows (A Life Once Lost), Jesse Korman (The Number Twelve Looks Like You), Chris Alfano (East of the Wall / Postman Syndrome), Jerry Jones (Trophy Scars), Travis Weinand (Burden / Tetsuo), Evan Moore (Gypsy Wig / Birth Screams), and Ruston Grosse. Also featured on the album, Alex Nagle (Satanized / ex-Normal Love) and Jason Herrmann (Burden / Tetsuo) lend their guitar shredding skills for 2 incredible solos.
“INTENSUS” can be described in one word: INTENSE. It is a visceral experience with a strong and unique artistic vision. Each vocalist brings his own brand of intensity to the album, making for a varied, yet flowing musical journey. Songs range from short, violent bursts of grind and death metal to crushing doom grooves, complex tech metal to experimental noise freak outs. This is an album unlike anything ever created before.
TRIUMPH OVER SHIPWRECK
Triumph Over Shipwreck is a 5 piece ensemble that hails from the El Paso, TX metal and hardcore scene. Musically, they are skillfully blending multiple genres together to create their own sound. Starting up in 2007, Triumph Over Shipwreck has made quite a name for themselves in Texas and the surrounding areas. Since January of 2011, TOSW has hit the road with Metal acts such as Fallujah, Diskreet, Bermuda, King Conqueror, Pacifist, and Molotov Solution. They are now working on demos for their next release due out early 2012. Please keep an eye for these Texas boys.

THE SUMMONED
Known for their intensity in both their music and live shows Boston based experimental death metal band The Summoned are being considered as fore-runners in the New England metal scene. They've been referred to such bands as Between The Buried and Me, The Faceless, The Red Chord, and Black Dahlia Murder but that doesn't stop them from experimenting with their sound but maintaining the intensity they're most known for. With Steve Thompson on Vocals, Jake Kelleher and Shaun Murphy on Guitars, Joe Zahareais on Bass, and Sam Hang on Drums The Summoned believes they have collectively brought out all their separate influences to create their own vision of experimental death metal.
Formed in the winter of 2007 in a span of just four years The Summoned has completed two east coast tours, played shows in fifteen states, released an EP, and has had the honor of opening for national acts such as The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Beneath The Massacre, Ion Dissonance, Arsonists Get All The Girls, Through The Eyes of the Dead, Carnifex, Suffokate, Overkill, Vader and more.
Gearing up for their highly anticipated full length "If Only Minds Could Paint Pictures" to be released summer of 2011 The Summoned truly believe this is their best work to date. Vocalist Steve Thompson proclaims "We wanted to truly create an album that is just unrelenting, an album that needs to be listened to from start to finish as opposed to song by song. We wanted to truly capture the feeling of our intense live shows and include it in "If Only Minds Could Paint Pictures" and we believe we've achieved that in this album."
With two east cost tours, an EP release, endorsements, opening for national acts, radio air play and an upcoming full length under their belt The Summoned has proven that their hard work with song writing and live shows strikes a nerve. EXCRECOR
Excrecor; Formed in 2000, a New Hampshire based melodic death metal quartet out of the small town of Hampton Falls. They combine a marriage of Scandinavian and progressive death metal, with deep atmospheric elements. Excrecor's sound continues to push forward with every release while sticking to the roots of their music as a whole. Their debut release; a four song self-produced E.P. titled “Synchronicity”, captured a great sample of what the band has to offer and is available for free! In 2011, fans will see the first full length album from Excrecor titled “Hypnotic Affliction” and will be as widely available as possible!
DWARF CORPSE
Dwarf Corpse is a diverse progressive-folk metal band based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Armed in costumes, deemed "Corpse Gear", they incorporate catchy folk melodies over driving progressive metal rhythms, with the occasional implementation of classical/blues/salsa/etc influences. This band commits to putting on a unique and exemplary live performance, taking the audience on an incredible journey leaving them dazzled, awe-struck and desiring more. Dedicated to entertain and excite, Dwarf Corpse is a thrilling experience that transcends genres as they reinvent them.

BURNING AT THE STAKE
Burning at the Stake has started from a couple kids wanting to play like their favorite musicians, (Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Cattle Decapitation, Dimmu Borgir), to creating a whole new genre of metal.
After co-headlining with and be-friending most of these acts, we realized what we could accomplish being a professional touring metal band. This band has now been in existence for almost 4 yrs. We have played a lot great shows and been part of some of the biggest metal festivals such as; Los Angeles Murderfest, California Metalfest, New Mexicos' Gathering of the Sick Fest. This being said we have never put out anything more than self-recorded demos. With dissecting our old songs riff by riff and creating new unheard of songs like, When You Die Nothing Happens, Nefarious Campaign, and Prevalent Disillusion *available soon*, we have felt more confident on stage and in the studio now more than ever.
We are very happy to finally release our first full-length record entitled Nefarious Campaign which will be out this summer of 2011. There are very high hopes in spreading our music as far as possible, and where people want to hear it we will bring it. We are ready for anything and are eager for whatever we can be a part of. We hope you enjoy our obsession for our music.
