Platinum Samples has posted a promotional video of drummer Bobby Jarzombek (Halford, Riot, Fates Warning, Sebastian Bach) playing "Platinum Samples Joe Barresi Evil Drums for BFD" on a Yamaha DTXtreme III Special electronic drumkit. "Bobby Jarzombek Metal Grooves MIDI Pack", co-produced with Rail Jon Rogut at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, California, is scheduled for release in early 2010.

Jarzombek’s first foray into MIDI samples came in 2007 via "Joe Barresi’s Evil Drums", a six-DVD set released by Platinum Samples, the second BFD Expansion Pack in the company’s "Master Engineer" series of drum samples featuring the work of multi-platinum award-winning producers and recording engineers, including Jim Scott (Chili Peppers, Tom Petty) and Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Van halen). Joe Barresi is best known for his production, engineering, and mixing work with acts such as Tool, Kyuss, Queens of the Stoneage and The Melvins.
The youtube clip is an improvisational drum solo, not actually part of the Metal Grooves Midi Pack. The BJMGMP will consist of hundreds of grooves, fills, intros, and endings played at various tempos.
