Keep up with Marcelo here:
My name is Marcelo J. Russo, I born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1973. I started playing the drums at 6 years old because my father buys me one little drum. From the 13 years to 15 years old I take a part of my first rock band, where that formation was made only with friends from the high-school. And at the 16 years up to now, I grow and improve with many different styles like Rock, Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, etc. I study some years of classic guitar and bass guitar at the conservatoire, and I played the bass in 2 bands too. From 1995 to 1998 I have played into some underground bands of Heavy and Thrash Metal, making my first steps into the scene.
Approximately in 1998 I found some excellent friends and musicians, and I´ve started to take part of my actual Death Metal band called “Prion”. Around that year the band was oriented into the thrash metal style, and in 1999 I participate into the record of the first 5 tracks EP called “Corpse Dissection”. Then, in the 2003, Prion was playing Death Metal, and in that year I have recorded the firsts full length album called “Time of Plagues” (Furias Recs.). From 2006 I internalize more into the extreme death metal, and in that year we started to record the promotional CD called “Psalmodian Wrath”, where there is a difference into the extreme drums rithms, speed and technicality. And finally into the 2007/2008 I take part into the last album from Prion called “Impressions” (Comatose Recs.), where I can demonstrate all that I learn of extreme death metal style.
