Daniel Erlandsson first started drumming at a young age. His older brother – Adrian Erlandsson used to jam on a little kit in their parents’ basement and join bands during their teenage years. Daniel saw his brother play and admired that lifestyle, but they never really played together back then because of the age difference (6 years). Daniel started drumming seriously around the age of 12, but by that time his brother was already preparing to move out of the house. Adrian Erlandsson was also the one who introduced Daniel to metal.
“He started first and after some years I started too… He’s been a great influence over the years, and if it wasn’t for him I probably wouldn’t be playing today.” – Daniel

Time passes, the world changes, but some things remain constant and unassailable. Heavy metal has endured for more than four decades because its spirit is eternal, and few bands embody the intensity, integrity, and lofty artistic ambitions of the genre with more dazzling aplomb than Arch Enemy. In 2021, the quintet returns with “Deceiver, Deceiver” – a standalone single that proves once again that Arch Enemy are torchbearers, upholding and celebrating the heavy metal code.
Mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen, “Deceiver, Deceiver” is the band’s first original release since 2017’s acclaimed Will To Power! Directed by Patric Ullaeus, the video for “Deceiver, Deceiver” can be streamed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_m2oYJkx1A. The new track is now available worldwide and can be checked out via this link: https://archenemy.lnk.to/DeceiverDeceiver-Single.
