Mike Heller Updates

Malignancy just got back from Colombia, and is in the middle of writing songs for our new full-length album.   

My new band System Divide (featuring members of Aborted, ex-distorted and Antenora) has finished our EP entitled The Collapse.  It was recorded by our guitarist Cole Martinez at his Conquistador Studios, and was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen.  You can check out a few songs at www.myspace.com/SystemDivide

I recorded session drums for a black/death metal band from Florida called Secrets She Kept.  The album was recorded at Hollow Studios (the same place I recorded the Success Will Write Apocalypse Across the Sky album) and is titled La Fin Absolue du Monde.  Joe Hollow produced the album, and James Murphy handled the mastering duties.  You can check out a few songs at www.myspace.com/SecretsSheKept

Also on the session front, I recorded the drums for an album by a band called Death Dealer at Hollow Studios, and the drums for a pop band called Measure at Legacy Studios.

Coming up:  I’m recording the drums for a thrash band (featuring ex members of Artillery), a technical death metal band called Caricature, a project with my good friends Ken Sorceron from Abigail Williams and James Murphy (on guitar!), and some other exciting things that I am not able to talk about as of yet.
