Drummer, Gus Rios, got his first instrument (a guitar) at age 10. Two years later at age 12 he was so drawn to the drums on the albums he was hearing that he decided to learn to play drums as well. This is where he would choose to focus, eventually studying with Dave Culross and continuing studies with Sean Reinert. He spent the next 17 years playing with Malevolent Creation on and off and throughout the world. This experience and his friendship with Reinert led him to be not only Sean’s tech but also a guest drummer on the 2013 DTA tour. It was on this tour that he met Matt Harvey and eventually started Gruesome.
