Studio Tips:

I do not have any special tricks. The only trick is to be prepared and play the stuff 😉 I usually use only one bass drum when recording that way we can be sure the 2 bass drums (while playing double bass) sound alike. I don´t mind using a double pedal. It is also a good idea to bring a couple of different snare drums to the recording session. We used at least 3 snare drums on each of the last 2 CD´s.

Drummer Comments:

It is always helpful to make short breaks. I guess many of you know the feeling when you are stuck at one particular part but you really want to get it done. For me a short coffee break usually does the trick or if it´s late already we continue the next day and have a beer instead 😉
