I've been a drummer for about 8 years now, and am always striving to work harder, and get as good as I possibly can. Drumming has always just been something to do that was extremely fun, but is now turning into something I want to perfect. I am often recognized as being a fairly young drummer in the Death Metal scene, seen as how I just turned 16. I started off jamming in my basement to older slipknot songs, and just trying to play whatever I could. Now I play around 60-80 shows a year playing original music that I have written myself. Drumming is the one thing that makes me feel weightless, when im playing a show, and every fill, and every accent is perfect, I can't even explain the feeling it gives me, if your a drummer, you know exactly what im talking about.

SD. com: How old were you when you started playing?

Eric: tender age of 8.

SD. com: Did you play in a school band or any drum corps?

Eric: nothing

SD. com:  Who are your top 5 influences?

Eric: Neil Peart, Joey Jordison, Thomas Lang, Flo Mounier, Ian Paice

SD. com: Assuming that influences doesn't mean favorites, who are your favorites?

Eric: Marco Pitruzella, Travis Barker, Derek Roddy, Gorge Kolias, Tim Yeung

SD. com: What do you do to warm up before a show?

Eric: kick pad, practice pad, normally straight forward blasting at 230bpm's to get warmed up, same speed blasting with triplets, same speed blasting 16th notes on kick.

SD. com: Can you remember a night you think was your best playing ever? If yes, when and where?

Eric: December 8, 2007 Ottawa with Beneath the Massacre.

SD. com: Do you have a favorite brand of drums or cymbals?

Eric: its either Meinl or Alchemy, as for drums, Sonor.

SD. com: If you could give one piece of advice to young drummers, it would be...

Eric: think positive. and practice!

SD. com: Who gave the best live performance you've ever seen?

Eric: Mario Duplantier of Gojira. blew my mind.

SD. com: If you had to stop drumming, what would you want to do with your life?

Eric: skateboard, be bored.
