Mike Kreger - Sickest Dirt Fest Drummer Winner! E-mail
Sunday, 12 July 2009 17:34

We are proud to announce Mike Kreger of Battlecross as the winner of The Sickest Dirt Fest Drummer contest. Mike won with 96 votes and will be featured in the September issue of Sick Drummer Magazine. We would also like to give mention to Cody Mike Kreger of BattlecrossMcCoy of Algore, who received almost as many votes as Mike... Nice job guys!

Battlecross, known for their energetic and addictive sound reminiscent of 80's Bay-area thrash metal, is rapidly gaining attention from numerous record labels and industry insiders who await Detroit's next surprising contribution to the metal scene.

Featuring complex, harmonized guitar riffs, brutal double bass drum work, pronounced transitions, strong, growling vocals, battering old school thrashing and boundless energy, Battlecross is quickly becoming a recognized name with their impressive style, unique sound and powerful live performance making them stand out and highly sought after in the Detroit and Michigan metal community.

Riding the wave of their current EP featuring original tracks "Leech", "Breaking You" and "Rupture" recorded last fall at Cloud City Studios (Walls of Jericho, Black Dahlia Murder) in Redford, MI, Battlecross has played to enthusiastic and growing crowds at popular Michigan venues such as The Machine Shop, Harpo's, The Token Lounge, I-Rock, TNT's, The Hayloft, Mac's, the Emerald Ballroom and pounding the stage at numerous metal festivals throughout the Midwest, causing new fans to take notice that the band's crushing live performance were as equally brutal and impressive as the recorded tracks.
